“Tuxtla Gutierrez is the capital of the State of Chiapas and is quite a modern contrast to San Cristóbal de las Casas just to the East.
San Cris is all about culture then Tutla is all business. It doesn’t seem to care much about tourist – just a transportation hub for buses, cars and airplanes.
Great shopping from large modern shopping centers to primitive tianguis markets.”
