Tourist Cards – FFM’s

Tourist Cards – FFM’s, are given out on airplanes and at points of entry into Mexico. ALL foreign citizens traveling to Mexico MUST fill out an Official Entry Immigration Form (Tourist Cards – FFM’s) prior to their arrival to Mexico.

Everyone, including children must have a valid tourist card.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  1. Contact information
  2. Passport information
  3. Full Name of the Hotel or address in Mexico
  4. Arrival /mode of transport information

Your must return the Tourist card if you fly home.

The repercussions of not having an FMM include:

  • Mexican insurance claims may not be honored.
  • You may be detained for hours before being sent back to the U.S. border.
  • In the event of an emergency that requires you to be flown back to the U.S., you will not be allowed to get on the plane, as an FMM is required.

Mexican Customs (Aduanas) may not check to be sure you have an FMM when you cross the border into Mexico.
