What they look like and what they mean

Most highways are consistently marked to determine distance.

We use these markings extensively when we direct you to various campsites or locations.   

signs2signs3KM128 means the Kilometer 128 sign post. KM128.5 is 1/2 a kilometer past the Kilometer 128 sign post.

Road signs in Mexico are improving every year. Still, hazardous like Topes or dangerous curves ahead are not posted with the same frequency as in the US or Canada.

 

signs1We suggest you leave a Spanish/English dictionary on your dash so you fully understand the signs along the way. Most signs however are international symbols.  highway signs
